Troubleshooting

➤ PROBLEMS WITH FONTS:

How to download fonts:

The following resources should help with how to download and install the suggested fonts found in your template download pack.

Quick Fixes for Fonts not Displaying:

  1. Restart Microsoft Word. Close out the software completely, not just the file. If this fixes the issue, you're done! If not, see below:
  2. Restart your computer. Some computers will need a quick reboot after installing fonts.

    Other Issues:

    • Make sure you have unzipped font files and downloaded properly.
    • Are you on a work or library computer? There may be a firewall in place that is preventing the file from installing.

    ALTERNATIVE:

    • The font links we included with your template are only suggestions. If you do not wish to download fonts or cannot, you can use fonts on your own computer.

➤ TEMPLATE NOT DISPLAYING PROPERLY IN GENERAL

The first thing to check: Are you using Microsoft Word 2008 or updated version? Our templates are strictly designed for Word and we can't guarantee their performance on Pages, Google Drive, OpenOffice, Word for iPhone/Android or any other program.
Next: If your fonts are showing up correctly, and you are sure you are using the correct software, try a quick conversion as listed here.

FONTS CHANGE AFTER SAVING TO PDF

When you save your Word document as a PDF, make sure the "embed fonts" box is checked.

➤MY INVITATIONS LOOK DIFFERENT ON PAPER THAN THEY DID ON MY COMPUTER

If your printed stationery looks different than it does on your monitor, it is most likely due to an improper save or issues with the printer itself.

If you are printing at home:

The following may be problems caused by your printer, not our template:

      • Blurred areas
      • Color inconsistencies
      • Lines or spots
      • Printing non-parallel / at an angle
      • Edges not printing (your printer's margins may be too wide)

Check your printer's manual or utilize Google search to troubleshoot your particular printer model. Alternatively, save as a PDF and print at your local Kinkos/Staples/OfficeMax, etc!

If you are printing at a print shop:
Be certain you saved as a PDF. Check your PDF before sending to your print/copy shop.

    DON'T SEE YOUR PROBLEM ABOVE?

To keep our templates awesome and affordable, we cannot do technical troubleshooting support for issues that go beyond basic template use and customization. Issues with personal printers, computer settings, and basic Word knowledge that haven't been addressed in our FAQ or this Troubleshooting Page are outside the scope of our technical support. However, there are a lot of great resources on the web to help with specific issues pertaining to printers, computer operating systems, and advanced Word questions.
