Frequently Asked Questions

What do I get with my Order?

Your order comes with a download for an editable Microsoft Word template, and a quick-start guide that will take you step-by-step through creating your perfect wedding stationery. We have done the hard work of designing the graphics, creating eye-catching typography that works with each theme, and setting up the templates for maximum ease of use.

With each template you can:

  • Customize, edit and make revisions as many times as you want
  • Print as many copies as you need for your project
  • Edit fonts, font colors, wording, and text placement

What supplies do I need to make my invitations?

  • Word 2008 or updated version.
  • Download the suggested fonts, before opening your template in Word, to make your design look exactly like the sample. Otherwise, your computer will replace the template fonts with others, and it may affect the formatting and overall look.
  • Printer that can print borderless, or has at most .25 inch margins (you may also use a local print shop!)
  • Card stock in 8.5 x 11 inches (standard sized  U.S. printer paper)
  • Paper Trimmer (or a ruler + xacto knife)
  • Envelopes

Can I use Word for Mobile / Apple Pages / Google Docs / Open Office to edit my templates?

In short, no. Our files are designed to work specifically with Microsoft Word 2008 or later. Using other software is not recommend, and we do not guarantee that our templates will work with them.

Does my printer have what it takes to print invitations?

We recommend a top-loading printer that can handle thicker papers (card stocks of at least 65-100 lbs). Check your ink stocks and replenish as needed.

You can also use your local print/copy shop or an online service! Just make sure to save your template as a PDF within Word, and you'll be all set.

What can I customize on the templates?

All templates come with customizable fonts, font colors, and font sizes. You can add or delete text boxes as needed, and you can use all of your own custom wording.

Many of our templates also feature color editable graphics. Make sure to check each listing description carefully for specifics on what you can edit on each design.

What kind of paper should I use, and what size envelopes should I order?

Use 8.5 x 11 inch standard sized U.S. printing paper. We recommend using the thickest cardstock that your printer can handle, from 65 lbs to our preferred 110 lb (we love Neenah brand paper)

We now also include free single-sized templates that can be printed on pre-cut paper or be exported to an online print shop.

Invitations take an A7 envelope. RSVPs fit in a 4bar envelope.

I've purchased a template, how do I download the files?

Make sure you enter a valid e-mail address at check-out. A link to download your files will automatically be sent to the e-mail address you provide. Give it a few minutes after order.
